Description: A tug en-route from Lomé, Togo to Banana Island, DRC, was approached by a skiff. The officer on watch noticed a large vessel (possibly a fishing boat) lowering a skiff into the water,
which approached the tug to a distance of 0.5nm. Master raised the alarm and increased speed and manoeuvred into the swell. The skiff made multiple attempts to come closer but failed due to the weather. After trying to get close to the tug for 5 hours, the
skiff gave up and moved away. All crew and vessel safe.
