UPDATE01: Regional authorities subsequently announced that the Tuapse port terminal had been damaged during the UAV attack. A fire was subsequently ignited, but was promptly extinguished. At the time of the attack, no merchant vessels were observed in Tuapse; however, Ambrey is aware that vessels have previously withheld AIS transmissions while conducting Black Sea port calls. At the time of writing, no casualties or damage to merchant vessels had been reported. Ambrey has upgraded the incident to high priority. <br/><br/>Ukrainian Armed Forces conducted an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) attack against the Rosneft Oil Refinery, Tuapse, Russia. An air raid alert was issued for Tuapse at 23:23 UTC on 26 May. Explosions were subsequently reported within the refinery area. Ambrey is aware that the refinery directly supplies the Port of Tuapse. At the time of writing, the air raid alert remained in place. No casualties, damage to port infrastructure, or merchant vessels was reported. Ambrey will provide updates when available. <br/><br/>ADVICE: Vessels conducting Black Sea port calls are advised to conduct comprehensive dynamic voyage threat assessments. The crew is advised to remain within the designated Safe Muster Point (SMP) during UAV attacks on infrastructure. The SMP should be located above the waterline, amidships, and low-down in the superstructure.
