1. Green corridors grow by 40% worldwide, but face a “feasibility wall”, says Global Maritime Forum report. Green shipping corridors – specific trade routes where the feasibility of zero-emission shipping is catalysed by public and private action – have rapidly expanded in popularity worldwide, but progress could stall without urgent action from governments to overcome a “feasibility wall.” That’s according to the “Annual Progress Report on Green Shipping Corridors 2024”, published today by the Getting to Zero Coalition and the Global Maritime Forum.

Kremlin Says ‘Absurd’ to Suggest Russia Involved in Baltic Sea Cable Damage.  Russia dismissed as “absurd” on Wednesday any suggestion that it had been involved in damage caused at the weekend to two fiber-optic data telecommunication cables in the Baltic Sea.European governments accused Russia on Tuesday of escalating hybrid attacks on Ukraine’s Western allies, days after one data cable running between Finland and Germany and one running between Sweden and Lithuania were cut.

10. USCG Cutter Munro Seizes $335M Worth of Cocaine in Eastern Pacific. In a significant blow to drug traffickers, the crew of Coast Guard Cutter Munro (WMSL 755) has successfully intercepted and offloaded more than 29,000 pounds of cocaine, valued at an estimated $335.8 million, in San Diego.
The massive haul resulted from eleven separate interdictions conducted off the coasts of Mexico, Central, and South America during September and October.
