1. Port Houston secures $25 Million Federal Grant. Port Houston is proud to announce the award of $25 million in grant funding received from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Maritime Administration (MARAD). Port Houston’s proposal is one of eleven large Port Infrastructure Development Program (PIDP) grant projects selected from across the nation, aimed at enhancing the safety, reliability, and resiliency of ports.

2. West officially opens new Dubai office with launch event. 3. Bureau Veritas continues to build capabilities in the Energy and Renewables Sector through the acquisition of Versatec Energy B.V. Bureau Veritas, a global leader in Testing, Inspection, and Certification services, today announced the acquisition of Versatec Energy B.V., an independent and specialized technical advisory company for the offshore and onshore energy industry. 4. LNG bunkering vessel “Kaguya” achieves 100th ship-to-ship LNG bunker supply. Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha,, along with JERA , Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha , and other partners, collaboratively operates an LNG bunkering business for LNG-fueled vessels in the Chubu region through joint venture companies.

5. Reviving India’s Maritime Heritage Indian Register of Shipping plays key role in the stitched ship project. In a remarkable endeavour to celebrate and revive India’s ancient maritime legacy, the Stitched Ship Project is recreating a 4th-century common era vessel using traditional shipbuilding techniques. The initiative, led by the Ministry of Culture in collaboration with the Indian Navy, M/s Hodi Innovations, and other stakeholders, draws inspiration from historical references such as Ajanta murals and ancient texts.

6. Saudi Red Sea Authority and Authority for the care of people with disabilities partner to Empower National Talent for Inclusive Coastal Tourism. The Saudi Red Sea Authority  has signed a memorandum of understanding  with the Authority for the Care of People with Disabilities  to strengthen support for people with disabilities, expand specialized training programs, and ensure accessible, inclusive coastal tourism activities.

8. CDB Leasing offloads kamsarmax trio at auction. CDB Leasing has been tied to a triple kamsarmax bulker sale through an auction. 
Multiple brokers report the Hong Kong-listed leasing unit of China Development Bank has offloaded the 2015-built CL Rizhao and the 2016-built CL Singapore and CL Tianjing for around $68.5m.
