InterManager, the international trade association for the shipmanagement sector, has strongly condemned the latest Houthi attacks on commercial ships in the Red Sea which have resulted in the death of one seafarer and the serious injury of another.
InterManager, whose members collectively employ more than 250,000 seafarers around the world, expresses its heartfelt sympathies to all those impacted by these unacceptable attacks.
Commercial ships and innocent seafarers must be allowed safe passage as they go about their regular business of carrying trade across the globe. We reiterate our call for international Governments to do all they can to ensure the safety of merchant ships and civilian seafarers.
