INTERMANAGER EXPANDS GLOBAL MEMBERSHIP, INCLUDING FIRST SHIP REGISTRY MEMBER

The international ship managers’ body, InterManager, has extended its global membership by welcoming four new members, including The Marshall Islands Ship Registry.

Intelligence firm Africa Risk Compliance (ARC) expertise lie in the provision maritime security services in the West of Africa. The intelligence services ARC offer stems from recognising the need for an organisation to take a role in a region that is seen as challenging and where the international shipping community suffers from a lack of information.

Welcoming the three new members, Capt Kuba Szymanski, Secretary-General of InterManager said: “Our mandate to our members is clear and it is this support and collaboration that has caused our membership to grow. As we welcome our first ship registry member it is a reminder that by working as a multi-sector Association, together we can ensure a rich sustainable industry for generations to come. We look forward to working closely with our three new members.”

“We are delighted to be part of this quality ship manager’s trade association. As the Marshall Islands grow in popularity as a ship registry, we want to forge a closer relationship with InterManager and its members. We look forward to working together on issues which affect our members and the maritime industry more widely,” said John Ramage, Chief Operating Officer, International Registries [Marshall Island Ship Registry support company].

Looking forward to future involvement, Max Williams, Fleet Operations Director, ARC said: “At a time of global high security alert, maritime security intelligence is crucial. By working with organisations to keep clients well-briefed, we are building a robust network. Joining InterManager will allow us to share expertise with ship managers and to build a sustainable network to ensure the industry is safe.”

Speaking proudly of its new membership to the Association, SC Innovative Ukraine’s QHSSE Manager Capt Vitaliy Smoletssaid: “We are looking forward to working with like-minded companies’, intent on ensuring best practice throughout the maritime industry. InterManager’s renowned reputation makes this new collaboration all the more exciting.”

21st & 22nd June in  Huston, USA ACI’s 16th Vessel Efficiency & Fuel Management Conference

With the recently enforced Emission Control Area (ECA) and fuel / sulphur regulations, as well as the global sulphur cap agreement from the latest IMO MEPC meeting, this conference will specifically focus on the regulations affecting vessel operations & compliance for companies shipping in US Waters. We will further scrutinise the technologies available to assist with compliance as well as innovations to track and manage performance and specific fuel-efficiency improving equipment, plus analysis and practical feedback of how to increase overall efficiency and performance by minimising the fleet’s energy demands.

Essentially, the focus will be on how shipowners & the maritime industry can benefit from higher Return on Investment and optimise their performance with the latest vessel efficiency technology available. The two day event will bring together key industry stakeholders from the Maritime industry, including Shipowners, Shipmanagers and associated solution providers, fuel solutions, IT and data associations, consultants, and technology providers.
