Dispatches No. 286

Dear Members of InterManager

INTERMANAGER UNVAILS WEBSITE WITH SEAFARERS IN MIND

InterManager today unveiled its new look website – www.intermanager.org, incorporating a new forum feature as well as being remotely available on smartphones and tablets, allowing interaction between the association and members at sea easier.

The launch of the new website, which offers quick and easy access to essential information on InterManager and its projects, is part of the association’s on-going efforts to enhance the quality and availability of information to members and the international maritime community. The website boasts a modern, colourful design, with each page providing detailed information on all aspects of the association’s functions.

InterManager Secretary General, Captain Kuba Szymanski, said: “InterManager is delighted to announce that we have revised our popular website to provide even more easy-to-access information for our members across the globe. In this age of fast-moving technology we believe it is important to move with the times and stay abreast of latest developments. We have incorporated some exciting new features to ensure our members can access information easily and quickly and the responsive nature of the new site makes it easier for members to access when they are travelling – which is essential given the global nature of the shipmanagement sector.”

INTERMANAGER EXTENDS ITS MEMBERSHIP

InterManager, the international trade association for the ship management industry, has extended its membership from within the influential Middle Eastern shipping markets and welcomes Overseas Marine Logistics (OML) as a full member.

The United Arab Emirates-based OML provide offshore service vessels for charter to support a wide range of offshore activities, from construction and seismic survey to various subsea surveys and diving in the Middle East, Indian sub-continent, South East Asia and Africa.

InterManager President Gerardo Borromeo said: “I am pleased to report that InterManager is increasingly receiving applications for membership from a range of maritime businesses. I believe the shipping community is becoming more and more aware of the benefits of speaking with one voice on key issues and recognises the role bodies like InterManager can play in representing their interests and speaking out for the industry.”

InterManager represents the interests of the ship management sector on the global maritime stage, particularly at meetings of the International Maritime Organisation and other key industry bodies. In addition its members work together to improve the performance and efficiency of global shipmanagement, to highlight and share best practice and to initiate and implement meaningful performance monitoring across the world.

Stergianni Katrini, Business Development Manager of OML said: “We at OML felt this was the right time to join InterManager. We look forward to collaborating with fellow maritime companies to the benefit of our sector and to ensuring that ship managers gain the recognition they deserve within the international maritime industry.”
