Dispatches No.278

Master of Prestige jailed:

InterManager joins other NGO’s in disbelieve that Spanish court could find Master of Tanker Prestige guilty. This once again shows that there is no justice when it comes to sentencing and investigating maritime accidents. Master who tried to save his ship and crew was ordered to proceed to sea where the vessel subsequently broke and polluted oceans.

InterManager Executive Committee – interns will be trialled, and SG will be visiting members in order to establish closer relationship with Member Managers’ staff

Idea of boosting creation of more Working groups/ committees will also be tried
