Enter the European Marine Engineering Awards
Paul Gunton, executive editor at Riviera Maritime Media (RMM; www.rivieramm.com) and known to many of you, would like to draw your attention to the European Marine Engineering Awards, which will be presented during RMM’s European Marine Engineering Conference. It will take place in Amsterdam on 13-14 April, with the Awards dinner on the 13th. The event is supported by Marine Propulsion magazine and has run for a number of years as the Marine Propulsion Conference. Its new name reflects its broader marine engineering scope than just propulsion.

There are seven categories – Marine Engines Award, Auxiliary Machinery Award, Environmental Performance Award, Fuel Efficiency Award, Innovation Award, Electrical Systems Award and Ship of the Year Award – and Paul believes that Intermanager members and their clients should all be able to enter at least one of them. All shortlisted entrants will be offered a free place at the dinner.

There are also details of the independent judging panel, which includes industry figures with expertise relevant to the categories. The closing date is 8 February.
