25-27 November – Stavanger Norway  5th Motorship Gas Fuelled Ships Conference 2014 www.motorship.com/gfsconference

The 5th Gas Fuelled Ships Conference, in association with The Motorship, is the longest running small scale LNG conference, provides a platform for all LNG stakeholders who want to explore the implications, challenges and benefits of LNG as a maritime fuel.

Around 70% of the world wide fleet at some point will enter one of the Emission Controlled Areas in Europe or the USA during their lifetime; this, coupled with uncertain levels of distillate fuel and possible rising prices, will result in the need for alternative low sulphur fuel. The Gas Fuelled Ships Conference 2014 will address and assess the implications which shipowners/operators and the industry must evaluate to consider LNG as a maritime fuel.

The Gas Fuelled Ships Conference is aimed at industry professionals who are looking to gain valuable information on using LNG as a maritime fuel and will include:

  • Ship owners
  • Ship operators
  • Engine manufacturers
  • LNG carriers
  • Shipbuilders
  • Classification societies
  • Ship designers
  • Ship yards
  • Port & Terminal Operators

In particular: marine engineers, marine superintendents, technical managers, maritime lecturers/professors, research team leaders, CEOs and MDs, shipowners, ship operators and managers, shipowners’ technical departments who deal with fuel and lubricant issues, fuel and lubricant manufacturers and suppliers and individuals and organisations who are involved in emission control technologies.
