Seacurus Monthly

Good morning,

Please find attached the latest edition of the Seacurus Monthly – As the Maritime Labour Convention continues to be refined and applied, we look at the progress being made. We also look to raise awareness of the importance of policing the convention, there is no win for anyone with a paper tiger…so we call on port State control to ensure that it has teeth.

In piracy and security news we assess the "Growing Menace" of SouthEast Asian piracy, and look at what is happening, how and why. While elsewhere, we look at the problems off Nigeria after consternation has emerged regarding the use of armed guards commercially placed on merchant vessels.

We hope you find the articles of interest and thought provoking.

Best regards,

S Jones
