Free Navigational Magazine For Your Vessels

InterManager members can keep in touch with the latest navigational, developments, concerns and issues by receiving a free copy of The Nautical Institute’s magazine The Navigator.

Published three times a year, The Navigator promotes safety and professionalism at sea. Each issue covers one key topic in a lively and engaging way. Issues to date have included: the role of the navigator, collision avoidance, passage planning, positioning and ECDIS.
The Nautical Institute has recently been given a grant to allow it to print and distribute 100,000 copies of The Navigator magazine with an aim to get at least one on every Solas class vessel.

Master Mariner David Patraiko, NI Director of Projects, says: “With the assistance of ship managers and owners, as well as ship visitors such as pilots, surveyors, missions and agents, we should be able to achieve this goal.

“The feedback we are getting from readers is that the material is excellent and that it offers ‘proof’ of shipping companies’ commitment to mitigate navigational errors, particularly amongst junior officers.”
