Knife Attack On LPG Crew

Masked men have robbed an Indonesian tanker in a night time attack off Singapore.

A gang brandishing long knives clambered on board the 3,239-dwt Asian Gas (built 1991) just before midnight, ReCAAP reveals.

Eight bandits approached the vessel in a speedboat near the Raffles Lighthouse before boarding and taking personal items and cash from the crew.

None of the seafarers onboard the Tanker Armada owned ship were injured during the drama.

ReCAAP says the incident is the fourth hit on a vessel near the lighthouse since the turn of the year.

TradeWinds reported last week a Vietnamese ship had been robbed off Singapore

The 14,241-dwt Shipinco I (built 1983) was boarded just west of Batu Berhanti buoy.
